The Director of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for:
Planning for long-term programs, capital improvements, and maintenance operations;
Preparation and maintenance of water, sewer, streets, and park budget;
Monitor working progress of public works staff and ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations;
Maintenance and daily operation of the Village's water and wastewater systems in compliance with state and local laws and regulations;
Operation and maintenance of the wells, water tower, valves, hydrants, quarterly meter reading, replacement of the water meters, and responding to citizen service requests;
Maintenance and repairs of streets, right-of-ways, street signs, and sidewalks within the Village including removal of snow and ice;
Maintenance and repairs of all Village owned machinery and equipment;
Maintenance of storm and sanitary sewer infrastructure;
Providing residential brush and yard waste pick up; and
Maintaining the buildings and the grounds located within the Village's parks;
